Hello!

My name is Emily. I'm an MSW graduate from the University of Georgia and also offer private restorative and yin yoga instruction in addition to my mental health services. As an auDHD woman who was diagnosed early in life, though I am quite familiar with both autism and adhd, it was often a struggle to find clinicians who were as knowledgeable with neurodivergence as they were with mental health interventions. Finding a compatible and competent therapist is already hard enough without having to provide a psychoeducation slideshow on top of everything else, so I became the therapist that I most wanted to see when I was looking to manage my stress, anxiety, and depression throughout adolescence and adulthood.

I have been practicing yoga for almost a decade and I was actually introduced to it by my very first therapist who incorporated yoga into her psychotherapy treatment. I've basically copy-and-pasted her career and pursued my MSW and yoga instructor certification simultaneously as I have experienced the magic of these combined therapeutic tools and want to offer that to others. I am a firm believer that cultivating peace for one's self does not have to be at the expense of joy. As much as the aesthetics of inner peace are attractive, I find fulfillment in crafting my own version of serenity is more sustainable and fun, and enjoy helping others do the same.

I am the proud pet parent to two kitties and enjoy video games, creative writing, poetry, and fiber arts.  Let's yap!
