Hi!
My name is Emily. I'm an MSW graduate from the University of Georgia (go dawgs!) who is teaching restorative yoga and yin yoga as I prepare to take my licensure exam. I have been practicing yoga for almost a decade and I was actually introduced to it by my very first therapist who incorporated yoga into her psychotherapy treatment. I've basically copy-and-pasted her career and pursued my MSW and yoga instructor certification simultaneously as I have experienced the magic of these combined therapeutic tools and want to offer that to others.
I am a firm believer that cultivating peace for one's self does not have to be at the expense of joy. As much as the aesthetics of inner peace are attractive (exclusively wearing linens, meditating under waterfalls, and speaking in a Summer's Eve half-whisper voice), I find fulfillment in crafting my own version of serenity is more sustainable and fun, and enjoy helping others do the same.
I am the proud pet parent to two kitties and enjoy video games, creative writing, poetry, and fiber arts. Let's yap and do some yoga!
